Meet our Team


Rich-KriderRichard Krider (President)

Rich grew up in the HVAC industry and joined Howell’s full time in 1987. He has served in numerous capacities including residential and commercial installation, fabrication, marketing, purchasing, residential sales, replacement sales, commercial design, sales and project management and Vice President of Sales. He is currently serving as President and CEO.


Rhonda-FosterRhonda Foster (Controller)

Rhonda graduated from the University of Richmond in 1986 with a degree in Accounting and has been in the commercial and industrial contracting industry her entire career.  Rhonda joined our financial team in December 2014 and comes with over 20 years experience as a controller in the construction industry.



Chris-MeadowsChris Meadows (Replacement Field Manager)

Chris started his HVAC career in 1986 as a helper in the Richmond area. His experience has taken him from sheet metal mechanic to service technician to shop foreman. Chris joined Howell’s in 2005 and holds the position of AOR Manager. Chris considered a valuable asset to the company. Chris loves the problem-solving aspect of his job and loves to train new mechanics and technicians within the industry. 


Tracy-ParrishTracy Parrish (Service Manager)

Tracy has over 35 years of experience in the HVAC industry. He has been employed with Howell's since 1991 as the Service Manager. He is an approved instructor and proctor for CFC and NATE certification. He is an active member with the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society and is the past President of the Central Virginia chapter of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America.  


Steve_ThomasSteve Thomas (Sales Manager)

Steve started his career with Howells in 1980 as a residential helper. In the years since he’s held many positions, residential and commercial installation mechanic, warehouse and fabrication manager and replacement salesman. He earned his Applied Science degree from J. Sargeant Reynold Community College in 1993. For
over 25 years Steve has provided comfort solutions to thousands of Richmond area homeowners.


Josh-KriderJosh Krider (New Commercial Construction)

Josh joined Howell’s in July of 2000 after graduating from Indiana University of PA with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.  He has served in several different departments including residential replacement, residential new construction, and is currently in the commercial construction department as a sales/project manager.  Josh holds certifications in CFC handling, commercial & residential air balancing, LEED AP, and International Ground Source Heat Pump Installations.


Robert-JohnsonRobert Johnson (New Commercial Construction Field Manager)

Robert started with Howell's in April 1990 as a New Residential Construction Helper.  His journey with Howell's has taken him from the position of helper to Replacement Mechanic to Replacement Department Supervisor and to his current position as New Commercial Construction Field Manager.  Robert loves the day to day changes and challenges he encounters in the HVAC industry.  


Teddy-LayellTeddy Layell (New Commercial Construction Field Manager)

Teddy Started his HVAC career in 1978. His experience and expertise have taken him from sheet metal mechanic to Field Supervisor. Teddy has been with Howell’s for 20 years. Joining Howell’s in 1998 Teddy manages the duct and sheet metal installations for all our commercial construction jobs. Teddy loves what he does and finds it rewarding to see these projects through from start to completion.


Mickey-PulliamMickey Pulliam (Service Field Manager)

 Mickey has been in the HVAC field for approximately 20 years.  He and his family moved to Richmond in 2006 from North Carolina.  Mickey joined the Howell’s team in 2012 as a residential/commercial service technician and now has moved into a Service Supervisor position which has been a great move.  In the summertime you will find Mickey boating in the Chesapeake.


Alex-ThomasAlex Thomas (Fabrication Shop Manager)

Alex started at Howell’s as a summer helper in 2007, working in the commercial department.  He continued to work for Howell’s part-time in the shop as he completed high school and college. In 2015, Alex became a full-time employee of Howell’s and at the start of the next year, he became shop manager. He is dedicated to the success of Howell’s and strives for the shop to produce quality work for internal and external customers.


Jim-LankfordJim Lankford (Purchasing & Inventory Manager)

Jim joined Howell’s in 2005 with over 20 years of experience in Inventory Management and Purchasing in the Retail and Manufacturing sectors. He is responsible for Purchasing, Warehouse Management and Inventory Control at Howell’s. He is very dedicated to his work and his passion is controlling cost for Howell’s and its employees. Jim is a member of the Institute for Supply Management.
