My husband and I had an extremely favorable experience with Howell's Heating & Air! We had already gotten estimates from a couple of other companies regarding installing new upper and lower heat pump systems and a sunroom mini split before meeting with Bryce Winston, but Bryce seemed to be more heedful of our needs and concerns in specific areas of our house, including the basement. He broached ways to fix these issues, while other companies failed to address them at all. We also felt he was very honest with his recommendations and did not try to upsell us a system we did not need. We were given a time frame of three days to complete the job, and from the first day to the third, the Howell's team showed up on time in the morning and worked until that day's job was complete. We have worked with a number of contractors since moving into our home eight years ago, but Phillip (the AOR Installation Supervisor), Miles, and Josh were by far the most respectful crew to have working in our home. They were efficient, hard-working, and willing to address any concerns or requests that I had without hesitation. The electrician on our job was great as well. A couple of small issues arose during our heat pump installation due to the age of our home (electrical and structural), but these items were properly addressed without any additional charge to us. I'm normally very stressed out when people are working in our home, but these guys were pleasant and made the job as painless as possible for us. We have been enjoying our new heating and cooling systems in all areas of our house and are so glad we decided to go with Howell's! We will definitely recommend them to our neighbors and friends if/when they decide to update their heating or air systems.

First, Howell's has been servicing our HVAC for over 20 years in two different homes. The technicians have been efficient, timely, and provided excellent servicing of our systems. They just replaced our HVAC in October of this year. Our unit had served us well for 19 years. The installation crew was at our home at 7:30 a.m. and left at 3:00 p.m. Our old unit was taken out and the new system put in, and it happened to be raining that day. They explained exactly what they were going to do and did it so smoothly and efficiently that we carried on our regular activities without a hitch. We highly recommend Howell's for service and replacement of an HVAC system.

Howell's replaced our 25+ years old HVAC system with a 92% furnace and 16 SEER Carrier unit. Steve, the sales manager, was very patient with my lengthy decision process and addressed all my clarifications promptly, even after the install. Philip's install crew was fabulous. Josh, the lead, Anthony, and Steve diligently worked 2 days and were very respectful. Crawlspace ductwork to the supply vents has been upgraded to a metal trunk design. Wife's greatly pleased with the awesome airflow downstairs and the better heat on the under 20 days. Also moved to a larger furnace filter from the 1" return vent. That's helpful too. The included Honeywell programmable thermostat has reduced our need to manually move the old needle, and we can wake up to a fully warm floor. A great company to work with, this being our first major home project. HVAC work is kinda black box, with no price transparency from the manufacturers. Howell's is good value and easy to work with. Hope this great experience continues thru maintenance!

During a recent snow/ice storm, I had an overnight flame-out on my gas furnace that wouldn’t re-ignite. I contacted Howell’s early the next morning, and they immediately notified a technician, Curtis Jones, to address my issue as soon as possible. Upon arrival, Curtis got right to work and isolated the cause of the flame-out. He fully described the reasons behind the problem and the steps he took to get it resolved. Additionally, he offered to me some simple tips that would potentially help avoid flame-out issues in the future. I would also like to offer thanks to the service dispatcher that handled my initial call and immediately contacted Curtis to get him to my home as soon as possible. Great job!!

Heat pump stopped working right after the weekend snow/ice storm. Called in for service and Howell's was able to get to us in a couple of days and get the system working. Thanks. Semi-annual maintenance service on 11/10/25. Mark was on time and performed the required maintenance. Gave us a full report and all is well with the systems. Thanks for making this maintenance routine a reliable service. Maintenance service on 5/22/2024. We have been maintenance clients of Howell's for several years now. We have been very satisfied with their service - they are prompt and clean and their twice a year maintenance has been great. The monthly payment option is also an easy pay method. We now have Mark as our service tech. He was here for the first time and is a good rep for Howell's - he showed up on time, was courteous, wore shoe covers and mask in the house. He kept us informed of his progress and maintenance needs when he was done. New post - Installed UV 5 year warranted systems for both units on 08/2024. Had the semi-annual service 12/2024 in preparation for the winter. On time and all is well report with a smile. Thanks.

I had my duct work vacuumed, and my gas furnace replaced. There was a hiccup with the schedule, which was an irritant for my wife, but Howell stepped in and took responsibility, and in today's world, where customer satisfaction is not a high priority, that is so refreshing. As to the install, I had anticipated all day, but they were in and out in about 5 hours, even with going back to the shop for parts. The vacuuming of the duct work went well, with the crew in and out quickly with no interruptions to our day. I have been a customer for 13 years and I strongly recommend Howell for all your HVAC needs.
