“Had a new heat pump (American Standard) installed two months ago by Howell's which failed due to faulty compressor. My 91-yr old sister lived in the apartment where the new system was installed. Howell's couldn't give us a time period to get a replacement air compressor due to a backorder condition at the manufacture's facility. Howell's did come out and install a portable AC to cool my sister's bedroom, and the gentleman who installed the portable was extremely nice, helpful and through. The bedroom is cool but the rest of the apartment, kitchen and living room, are hot. We have been experiencing extremely hot humid weather and expect more hot weather all summer, and it's hard on my sister to live in such conditions. I feel that Howell's should find another alternative to correct this problem other than tell me that we will have to live with this until the backorder can be cleared. I have been a faithful customer of Howell's for many years and feel like the company is throwing up their hands with the "nothing we can do" attitude. I trusted Howell's to install a quality heat pump and stand behind any problem encountered due to their heat pump recommendation and installation. I've been extremely disappointed and fear for my sister's health if this condition lasts much longer.”

“Some rooms too cool, others not cool enough. Matt reset all the dampers to provide more balanced airflow, which the original installation HVAC contractor had not done. Then he patiently showed me everything he had done and explained how I could tweak as needed. Also adjusted our thermostat to more accurately display the actual temperature in our home. Very satisfied and well worth the time and money, as proven by better, more balanced comfort in our home since Matt was here. Highly recommend Matt – he's laid back but he knows his stuff.”

“My husband and I had an extremely favorable experience with Howell's Heating & Air! We had already gotten estimates from a couple of other companies regarding installing new upper and lower heat pump systems and a sunroom mini split before meeting with Bryce Winston, but Bryce seemed to be more heedful of our needs and concerns in specific areas of our house, including the basement. He broached ways to fix these issues, while other companies failed to address them at all. We also felt he was very honest with his recommendations and did not try to upsell us a system we did not need. We were given a time frame of three days to complete the job, and from the first day to the third, the Howell's team showed up on time in the morning and worked until that day's job was complete. We have worked with a number of contractors since moving into our home eight years ago, but Phillip (the AOR Installation Supervisor), Miles and Josh were by far the most respectful crew to have working in our home. They were efficient, hard-working, and willing to address any concerns or requests that I had without hesitation. The electrician on our job was great as well. A couple of small issues arose during our heat pump installation due to the age of our home (electrical and structural), but these items were properly addressed without any additional charge to us. I'm normally very stressed out when people are working in our home, but these guys were pleasant and made the job as painless as possible for us. We have been enjoying our new heating and cooling systems in all areas of our house and are so glad we decided to go with Howell's! We will definitely recommend them to our neighbors and friends if/when they decide to update their heating or air systems.”

Throughout the entire service call Tim exhibited a thoroughly professional bearing. He laid out the cause-and-effect of the problem, was quick to address the few questions that I had, and took care of making sure that all was well before leaving.

“Howell’s is the best! We had a severe rain storm last night and lost power. This morning our downstairs heat pump was not working. After checking what I could, I called Howell’s for assistance. Within two (2) hours a service person, “CL” , was at our home. He discovered water had entered our crawl space and caused our condensation pump to burn out. CL had to crawl through a few inches of water to get to the pump and circulator unit to diagnose and correct the problem. He did a great job and fixed the problem but what was so impressive was his professional demeanor and approach. Also, the persons I spoke with over the phone at Howell’s were very pleasant and helpful. Thank you CL and Howell’s, you’re the best!”
